Everyday Makeup

Before I was wearing makeup every day I didn’t understand how people could use the same products all of the time. Now I get it. I don’t want to spend my morning changing up what I do, I like to get up, know what I am doing and go to work. I don’t need the ‘what foundation shall I try today’ NO! Put that on my face and get me going. Which means I have now got a little routine that I like to follow almost every day. It’s something I don’t think I will keep for too long because I am really unhappy with all of my foundations at the moment, I am only using them because I don’t want to throw them out and not have any! So, while I am on the search for a new one, these will do.

The first product I apply to my skin is the Ps… Primer Water. This is something I am in love with! The spray applies the perfect amount of product onto my skin, as well as giving it a little hydration in the morning.

My brows are the first thing I tackle in the mornings. I never used to do these first, but they are the thing I go wrong with the most, so it makes it easier to clean up if there is nothing else on my face. I am currently using the Freedom Brow Pomade which I am loving! This is the first pomade I have ever used, probably going to be my last as well. I love it so much, I don’t think I will stray from it. I pair this with an angled brush, and my brows have never looked more put together. To set the brows I like to use the Pixi Clear Brow GelPersonally, every single brow gel I have tried do the same thing, I am just using this one because I was gifted it.

Next up, the face! I like to apply my MUA Hydro Primer to my skin, most days because my skin is super dry at the moment. While I am waiting for that to dry, and go slightly tacky I will get out the base products I use. The first thing I like to do is colour correct, with the flu at the moment my nose is super red. I use the Nip+Fab Colour Corrector Pen for this, I feel it has the best coverage, as well as being really easy to apply and blend. I actually use the nib itself to blend this product out, so there is no brushes needed- Bonus! Before applying foundation I like to use a little of the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer to concealer a little of the under eye area – they are super dark because of not being able to sleep at the moment! Once the concealer is blended it’s the foundation, currently, I am trying to use up the  No7 Stay Perfect Foundation. I actually really dislike the way this sits on my skin, which is why I am using it now while I find a new one. Concealer is the next product, I like to apply this to the undereye area, again. I also use this for anything I feel needs a little extra coverage on the face. Due to having dry skin, I tend to use cream products more than powder, plus they are easier to use in the mornings! Contouring is something I love doing if I can look super slim with great cheekbones than I am going to do it. For this, I like to use the Freedom Ultra Contour Stick.

Once all of the cream products have been applied and blended, I then go into my powder products. To set the undereye area I am currently using MUA Hydro Powder which doesn’t do much for me, to be honest. I just feel like my skin is too dry to use a loose powder? I apply this with a large fluffy brush. I then set the contour cream products with my MAkeup Revolution Ultra BronzerMy favourite bronzer of all time. I like to use this because I don’t feel the need to apply powder on top of the powder. For everything else on my face, I like to use the Makeup Revolution Ultra Contour & Sculpt KitI use the blush, contour powder and highlighter in this for the rest of my face.

I can then play around with the eyes and lips as I feel, normally it depends on if I have the time to give myself a smokey eye. If not, I leave the eyes, maybe apply one colour onto the lid. I then put lipstick on the lips and I am good to go! I didn’t realise how many products I used on a daily basis before I wrote this.

Can you recommend me any good foundations for dry skin types, maybe one you use on a daily basis! Jade
