Makeup is something I have a lot of. A lot more than your normal 20-year-old. I blame the fact I am a blogger, but I am unsure whether that is a valid excuse to have makeup items for longer than their expiry times. Which is why I took the plunge, after receiving a lot more products for Christmas, I decided it was time for a declutter. I went through all of my makeup products, threw out almost all of the products that I have either had for a long time or just don’t use anymore.

Face

W7 Blush With Me Palette – The first, and only, time I used this I came up with a red rash on my cheeks. So, I swiftly put this to the back of my drawer and didn’t look at it again till now.

Santee Face Primer – This product was alright, but there are so many other primers out there that do a lot more for my skin. Plus, does anyone know how long I have had this because I definitely don’t!

Collection Pressed Powder – I purchased this for Halloween to make my skin lighter, which is why I don’t get a lot of use out of this. My face is pale enough.

MUA Pro Base Colour Correcting Cream Peach – I have a palette of all different colour correcting colours in, including this one, so there was no point in me keeping two of them.

ELF Shimmering Facial Whip – This came out extremely watery when I first squeezed it out, it was also not very nice feeling on the skin.

Santee 2-in-1 Concealer & Foundation – I am on the paler side of life when trying to find colours online I guess. This was a bad guess.

Younique Mineral Touch Concealer – I was told this would cover tattoos, which it doesn’t! It creases so bad under the eye, having dry skin I try to avoid using too much powder, a product you need a lot of for this concealer.

Makeup Revolution Ultra Cream Contour Kit – I am unsure of how long I have actually owned this, but I have never used it. So I decided it was time to give it away.

MUA Pro-Base Cover & Conceal Palette – Again, I never used this. I wasn’t really sure what it was for because none of the shades was remotely a nice colour.

ELF All in One Colour Stick – This was my favourite cream blush I have ever tried, the colour was such a beautiful one. I needed to remove this from my collection because I don’t know how long I have actually owned this – over 2 years for sure!

Santee Duo-Ability Colour Stick – Just the same as the ELF product, this has been in my makeup for too long!

Collection Colour Match Foundation – This claims to change colour to match your skin. The only colour this went on my skin was orange.

MUA Skin Define Matte Perfect Foundation – I felt like I was applying a layer of cream to powder on my skin. I have dry skin and this just does not work for my skin at all.

MUA Skin Define Hydro Foundation – Another bad colour pick of mine. This was extremely dark for me and it was not hydrating at all, showing all of the dry patches on my face.

Lips

Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstick – I was gifted with this product a few months ago, it just is not my colour at all. I feel like it really washes me out. I also try my hardest not to use products that have not been tested on animals.

No7 Moisture Drench – I am sure this is the first lipstick I ever owned – Probably about 7 years ago!!

MUA Lipstick – As much as I love the colour of this, it bleeds like there is no tomorrow. I have never seen anything like it, I look like I have been snogging my boyfriend for hours on end – This is not a good look!

Makeup Revolution Vamp Shade – Another shade I loved, but I owned two that are basically the exact same. Seeing as I don’t wear this colour on a regular basis I decided just the one was enough.

MUA Power Pout Glaze – This was the product that got me into glossy lips a little more, but this is a product that makes my lips feel sticky and tacky.

MUA Luxe Lipgloss – The second lip gloss I fell in love with. The problem with this one was if it was on my lips for a while it would start to hurt – I think there is something in there I might be allergic too?! It was also the lip gloss that would leak everywhere! It took me ages to figure out which one it was, but I’ve found it!

Freedom Pro Lipsticks – I am sure these two came in a set of 5. I love the other three colours, but these two completely wash me out. I think wearing these I could get away with being a Barbie!

Eyebrows

MUA Luxe Power Brow Sculpting Gel – I took a chance with this product, I thought the shade up was going to be too dark. Turns out, it probably would have suited me fine, this one is actually too light. I tried a few different things to make it work, but it just looked a little weird with lighter than usual eyebrows.

Makeup Revolution Brow Palette – This came within a Christmas set I received for Christmas 2016. Since then I have used it once, possibly twice. It’s just something I don’t reach for.

Barry M Brow Kit Shape and Define – The first eyebrow palette I owned, which I am now aware was too dark for me! I used it anyway but seeing as it has been in my collection for a fair few years. It’s time to say goodbye now.

Eyes

MUA Pro-Base Eye Primer – This is a product that has been almost gone for the longest time. I really liked to use this, so couldn’t face using the last bit.

MUA Matte Black Eyeliner – I thought a matte eyeliner was going to be something I really liked the look of. Turns out, it wasn’t for me. The applicator on this makes it super hard to get a good flick, probably because I am not very good at it anyway!

Makeup Revolution Amazing Curve Mascara – One of my favourite mascaras that I couldn’t bear throwing away. I thought if I kept it I would remind myself to purchase a new one – I actually got a replacement for Christmas so I can now remove this old one.

Collection Super Size Mascara – This was a favourite when I was about 15, not so much anymore. This is probably the same one that I was using 5 years ago to be fair! That’s so disgusting, I know! Which is why I decided it needed to go!

Makeup Revolution Awesome Lash Mascara – When I first opened this it was a little too wet for me, so I tried to keep it and dry it out a little. Whatever they have put in this keeps it wet!

Amuse Eyeshadow Singles – I love white and black eyeshadows, but having them as singles is a little annoying! I much prefer them when they’re in palettes.

Santee Colour My Eyes Eyeshadow Stick – I am unsure how long I have had this, but again, I have literally never used this. I have never been a fan of cream eyeshadow anyway and let’s be real, when do I ever create a blue look?!

Kleancolor Eyeshadow Trio – These look beautiful, in the spring/summer. I can’t say I have reached for this palette for at least 6 months. I have got these three colours in different palettes, so may as well keep the other ones and throw this one away.

W7 Mighty Mattes Eyeshadow Palette – ‘This is a great Naked Dupe’ They said. Has anyone tried this? I have never come across an eyeshadow palette that is as powdery as this one before.

Makeup Revolution Redemption Eyeshadow Palette – This is something I have loved for so long, probably longer than expected. I actually received another one of these in my Advent Calendar, so I can finally say goodbye to this one, and love a new one just the same.

I feel so much better now I have finally threw out a lot of my old, probably expired, makeup! Have you thrown any out recently? Jade
